Lagos opens portal for teaching job applications

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has officially opened its recruitment portal for qualified teachers. This initiative, approved by the Lagos State Governor, aims to strengthen the delivery of quality basic education across public schools in the state.

Here are the key details you need to know:

  • Portal: Applications must be submitted online through the official portal: https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng.
  • Application Deadline: The portal will close on October 14, 2025.
  • Eligibility: The recruitment is open to individuals with the following qualifications:
    • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
    • B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), or B.Ed.
    • HND holders with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
    • B.A or B.Sc holders with a PGDE.
  • Required Documents: Applicants are expected to have the following:
    • O’ Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
    • Degree or NCE Certificate
    • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)
  • Important Notes:
    • The application process is strictly online. Physical submissions will not be accepted.
    • The application is absolutely free. LASUBEB has warned against any individual or group collecting money for this exercise.
    • Statements of results issued beyond two years will not be considered valid.
