The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested six suspected kidnappers and rescued three victims abducted from Euga village in Toro Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakil.
Wakil explained that the operation followed a distress call received on September 29, 2025, from a community member who reported that unknown gunmen had abducted three men — Idi Umar, Idi Lawan, and Musa Lawal.
He said, “Upon receiving the report, a coordinated response involving the Toro Area Command, Toro Division, and Nabordo Division, alongside local security partners, was immediately activated.

The police spokesperson listed the arrested suspects as Abubakar Usman, Adamu Alo, Abubakar Aliyu, Umar Habu, Abubakar Mamman Abubakar, and Shehu Sambo.
According to him, the rescued victims have been reunited with their families in good health, while investigations are ongoing to uncover the full details behind the abduction.
He said, “The suspects have begun providing useful information to investigators. They will be transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) in Bauchi for detailed profiling and will face prosecution upon completion of investigations.”
Wakil added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the officers for their swift action and urged residents to remain vigilant.
